

He was a member of the Liberty County Hospital District Board, the Dayton Community Development Center, and the City of Dayton Park Board. He served the City of Dayton as a Councilman. Along with pastoring his flock, Pastor Pruitt was know as a community advocate. Pastor Pruitt acquired a Bachelor of Theology from the United Christian Theological Institution in Houston, Texas in 2004. He became an ordained minister while attending Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. During this time, he also started a prison outreach program.

Miles, he implemented an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), NA (Narcotics Anonymous) programs and still today they are still serving the community. It was there he preached his first sermon. Then, Dwight returned home to Dayton and attended St. Dwight began to grow in the ministry at Good Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. In the early 1990's, Dwight accepted his calling from God to go into the ministry. He started working out his soul's salvation by being a member of both the Junior Choir and Usher Board.ĭwight attended public schools in Dayton and graduated from Dayton High School in 1980. She ushered him into his spirituality and he accepted Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Dwight Allen Pruitt was the second child born to the late Eural and Lois Lee Pruitt on Novemin Dayton, Texas.ĭwight was heavily influenced by his maternal grandmother, Vester Lee Earls.
